Hi,
I cant seem to get the video player to work (i replied to a thread and so you asked me to create another)
i’ve added a video to this page – https://quirks.essexwebdesignstudio.com/video/ and as you’ll see it doesn’t play.
The site is going live tomorrow and so would very much appreciate a quick answer if possible 🙂

I hope you are well today and thank you for creating separate topic for your question.
This is happening because you are using incorrect video URL in the Video content element as shown in the attached screenshot.
You can see if you visit the video URL directly https://quirks.essexwebdesignstudio.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/12/Cartoon-updated-August-2017.mp4 then it doesn’t exist so please make sure it exists and use correct URL.

I’ve just chnaged it to this (which does work in a web browser) and doesn’t work in the video widget.

The Video Player content element only works with youtube hosted videos. For custom videos you can use text block content element as shown in the attached screenshot.
no problem, might be worth adding a note to the widget so it’s clear what it should be used for 🙂
Sure we will consider this to be added in the future version of theme.
