I’ve religiously followed the step in the documentation to create a blog page, that will feature the blog posts of a category of my site:

    • Step 1 – Log in to your WordPress Installation
    • Step 2 – Navigate to Pages > Add New
    • Step 3 – Under “Page Attributes” set Template to Blog
    • Step 4 (optional) – Below content editor find Page Settings section
    • Step 5 (optional) – Navigate to Blog tab and modify settings as you like

However, whilst I can preview the newly built page, which correctly displays the posts of my choice, it goes to an error 500 once published.

    This is really problematic!

I’ve now hidden the page on the navigation, but here it is:

    Thank you

    Thank you for your help

    Hi M,

Sorry to hear of the problem you are having.

I visited your shared page and it is getting redirected to http://www.mynottinghillcarnival.com/carnival-parties-2017/ and displaying Blog page.

    Please advise.

    Best regards,
    Shufflehound team

    Hello,

So the link to the page is indeed: http://www.mynottinghillcarnival.com/carnival-parties-2017/

And I get this error 500 page (see attachment)
It is odd because when I preview the page, I can see the page correctly displaying the blog posts.
Can you confirm you can see the error at your end?

    Thank you

    Muriel

    Hello,

OK, I’ve looked from another browser and I now see the page correctly.

But every time I click on the page from the CMS, it takes me to an error 500.

The page is also painfully slow.

I’m going to change hosting provider because since switching to Jevelin, my site has become so much slower (although I installed all the recommended caching and minifying plugins) – in turns out that Unyson is responsible for the poor performance.

    I hope things improve!

    Thanks for your help

    M

Yes Unyson plugin is a slow but it is in process of performance improvement.

You can try fixing 500 error on your site as described in the following page.
