    Hi there,
Is it normal that the blog search field doesn’t work/run on post titles?
    Please see attached.
there’s a post named “Interview” and yet with that search criteria, nothing is found.

    Thanks.

    Hi @zelda,

    Thank you for your question.

    It should search post titles.

Are you using any search plugin on your site?

Could you please share me your site URL where it’s happening so that I can troubleshoot it?

    Best regards,
    Shufflehound team

    Hi there,
I’m not using any search plugin.
And unfortunately, due to hypersecurity, I cannot give you any access.

As no changes were brought to the theme, I guess that if you test on your demo, you’re likely to notice that it doesn’t work either (on post content/body yes, but not on the titles)?

    Kindest regards.

I have tested it on my test site and it’s working fine for me using below latest version of Jevelin theme as displayed in the attached screenshot.

Please login to access this file

This can be due to plugin conflict on your site so please try temporary deactivating all plugins except Unyson plugin and WpBakery page builder plugins and see whether everything works fine and then enable the plugins one by one to see which plugin is conflicting if any.

    Hi there,

As suggested, the theme was updated to the last version available on Envato (4.1.5). And yet, the search is still not running on titles.

    Please see attached

Have you checked for the plugin conflict as suggested above?

    Hi there,

I seem to have discovered where the problem comes from.

    The apostrophe.

Linterview = No results (which is the apostrophe that comes in the search filed)

    Linterview = ok

    ‘ = No results

    ’ = Results

    Kindest regards

Please see attached and my above message.

This is happening because you are using the apostrophe symbol which is not supported by WordPress search so please use the symbol that works in the WordPress search.
