Home › Forums › Jevelin Theme › How do I select specific image size
Hi,
I’ve been running page speed analysis on the site, enabling CDN, etc. One of the things I keep coming across is images that are bigger than they need to be.
I installed the Smush plugin and used it to reduce images. Couple things I noted… First, it shrinks all the generated thumbnail sizes but not the main image itself. Second, and more importantly, when I select an image from Media Gallery for use on a page (for instance, to use as a background image for a section), selecting that image causes it to always use the original uploaded image, not the thumbnail.
When selecting image for use in the theme, is there a way to select one of the compressed thumbnails? Or can I only select the original (which means I need to make sure to upload a perfectly compressed original).
Hi @jkloptosky,
I hope you are well today and thank you for your question.
When selecting image for use in the theme, is there a way to select one of the compressed thumbnails? Or can I only select the original (which means I need to make sure to upload a perfectly compressed original).
I think the Smush plugin support will help you regarding this and you can also refer to the information provided on the below pages.
