There has been an update made to my site – either by hosting provider 1&1 or WP / Unyson. And now my portfolio items are delivering a 404 when I attempt to click through: http://datumpoint.org.uk/portfolio/

Sorry to hear of the problem you are having.
Please try resaving your site permalink settings in your site admin area on the below path.
Admin Area -> Settings -> Permalinks
Also you can try resetting your site htaccess file as described in the following pages.
