Ok got it. And then my last question: is there any code that would change the column padding for the entire website, instead of doing it per individual column?
Hi, thanks so much for your help so far! I tried it with Yellow Pencil, which I have worked with before, but in this case it does not get me where I want to be, unfortunately.
What happens is that, even if I apply the styling to ‘global’, only the padding of a certain element (i.e. section) on a certain page changes. Probably because each element has a unique name, as I am using Elementor as a page builder.
If I apply the padding changes to the highest levels, like body or content, it does apply to the whole website, but then the page-wide sections with colored backgrounds get white space on the sides, instead of just the text indenting a bit.
Is there any code that would, see image, increase white space on the left before button starts in area 1, and similarly increase grey space in area 2 (or leave that untouched, but not adding white space to the sides of a grey section)?
Many thanks!
Hi, of course, see the attached screenshot of my mobile.
What I mean that I would like more padding on the left and right side of the screen, so before the text starts (/after it ends).
Does this clarify it a bit?
Many thanks,
Maartje
Will do. Thank you so much for your help!
Solution for this topic
Thanks for the tip. No, I have not touched the css since I started this topic.
It works now, I see 4 columns, until.. I reactivate W3 Total Cache.. I emptied the cache again and even deinstalled and reinstalled the whole plugin, but the same issue occurs. How strange!
I will look for a plugin to replace W3. Any recommendations?
Done!
Btw, I have a similar issue with text size, differs per paragraph, but can’t find the corresponding css that is overruling the css in Customizer.
Example is this page: https://kindtclinics.com/angst/
If you scroll down a bit, some paragraphs are 16px but others remain smaller, no idea why.
So sorry to mess up the great theme css by bad custom css…
Wow you’re fast!
Yes I was expecting it had to be something that simple, and I searched for this type of code before, but I have no idea where it is. My colleague must have done it but he is not working with us anymore.
I can’t find it in style.css (child theme nor parent theme), not in the additional css in Theme settings, not in the additional css in Customizer.
Is there a way to see all additional css added to the website? (I am using Coffeecup Direct FTP but have only basic knowledge..)
Thanks so much!
