Thanks. Resolved now.
I have thousands of embedded videos on the site. So changing each individual one is not an option ā especially when this issue could just happen again!
My point is, all of the videos on my site were showing large before. Since updating the Gillion theme, they’re not.
I’ve not changed anything else.
Hi,
I’m adding the Youtube videos via copy & pasting the Youtube URL directly into WordPress.
This is the way I’ve always done it and they always came up in full size. But now the theme is making them small.
So I’m not sure what you mean about iframe, as I’m just copying these URLs into the WordPress post page.
What does that mean in practical terms? Do you have a link?
Hi,
Thanks for the reply.
Can I change this just for the page in question, though? As I’m sure there’s a good style reason why I made that change on the site.
Kind regards,
Matthew
Solution for this topic
Resolved. Found a workaround for this that didn’t involve changing Homepage to a static page.
That’s what I mean, though. I’m worried that will mess up my SEO?
I think the issue centers around the fact that my homepage isn’t officially a Page. I have my Homepage in WordPress settings set to “display posts.”
I don’t know if there’s a solution to this with your theme settings?
I don’t really want to change my WordPress settings from Homepage as “display posts” to a new page, as I’d be worried about the SEO implications.

Did this using Yellow Pencil. Solved.

Did this using Yellow Pencil. Solved.
I just downloaded most recent version when I purchased three days ago. This looks like a new one, though.
Is there a way to auto-update from the WordPress dashboard? Most themes do that.
I don’t like to delete the theme and add new update, as that normally screws with my settings. Unless Gillion is different?

Working now after a browser cache restart. Thanks.

It wasn’t working for days, but suddenly working now. All good. Didn’t do anything different.
Thanks.
Resolved this one now. Thanks.
Does Yellow Pencil work for sitewide changes? The CSS work I need to do isn’t just one post specific ā it would involve thousands of individual changes on hundreds of posts. Can I achieve this with Yellow Pencil?
Weird. I’ve been experimenting with this.
Theme Settings works on Firefox, but not on Chrome. So I guess this means it’s not plugin conflict and browser related instead?
Hi,
It’s not working on any posts. But here’s a link below of an example where it’s set but not working:
I want to keep the author, though. All those options seem to remove the author as well as the date.
In the Header section of the settings?
I don’t have an option for that. This is all I have (see attached screenshot):
Thanks. I’ll try that.
I’m using the very latest PHP version, btw.
Right now, I’m able to access some of the theme settings via using Customize under Appearance. That seems to be a work-around to get to Theme Settings. Although I did notice not all of the settings are there.
