    Hi.

So the blog page on the older version of Jevelin used to show full text. However lately it’s only showing the summary.

    My web: charitypeople2people.com

    Jevelin version: 5.0.5

Steps I tried to fix the issue:

    1. Deactivate-acitivate all plugins
    2. Delete and re-install Jevelin theme
    3. Deactivate all Blog settings in Jevelin customize backend
    4. Adjust settings in WordPress – Settings – Reading section (it’s currently set up to “Full text”
    5. Change blog post format type
    6. Use another theme (blog shows full text when activating another theme)

Looks like something is overwriting the blog settings.

    Any ideas?

    Hi @WebDesigner,

I hope you are well today and thank you for your question.

I visited the blog page on your shared website and it displays full post text as shown in the attached screenshot.

    Please advise.

    Best regards,
    Shufflehound team

    Hi there!

I increased the character count to max in summery to show at least some content on the web until the issue is fixed.

Please, check the screenshots: 1 – is how my blog post looks originally. 2 – summary only that shown to visitors.

Is there any code for theme editor that would overwrite the blog preview settings?

You can configure in the theme settings how much description to display as shown in the attached screenshots.

Hi. I did that. It’s set to max 250. However the post does not reflect the buttons or other custom design like pullout quotes in wordpress etc. Its just shown as plain text.

Yes, this is how the auto excerpt works.

You can also enter the post content excerpt manually in the Excerpt field of the blog post as shown in the attached screenshot so that it will display on the blog page regardless of Description Length.

    Hi Shufflehound Team,

I experienced the same issue with the Jevelin Blog theme. When I click on a relevant blog post to full text, the full text does not show up, although text and pictures are correctly added in the blog entry in the backend. See pics attached

    Please help!!!

    Best wishes,

    Maik
