Hi,
I have a magazine website and I would like to add a Shop page with the template that Gillian offers.
https://rakishfly.com/index.php/shop/
Is it possible to use the magazine theme and import the shop template for one page? how is the best possible way to go around this without crashing the site?
Thanks
Hi Rakish,
I hope you are well today and thank you for your question.
You can’t import only one page from the demo content but you can import the whole demo content as described below.

Could you please share the shop page URL from the below demo website so that I can help you to create it?

Best regards,

First, you have to set the Shop page in the WooCommerce plugin settings as described below.
https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/woocommerce-pages/
Also, you can remove index.php from your website URLs as below.

Hi,
I did both procedures. https://rakishfly.com/shop/
How can I input or create the gillion shop template?
Thanks
It seems you have not yet created any product on your website so could you please first create some products on your website using the WooCommerce plugin?
I managed to add 2 products, 2 categories and the side bar 😀
What else do you suggest?
Configure WooCommerce Columns to 4 in the WooCommerce theme settings as shown in the attached screenshot and add WooCommerce widgets in the sidebar.
Hi.
I followed your instructions however https://rakishfly.com/shop/ the shop is still looking different from the overall site such as the search bar is square whereas usually it is rounded.
Can I download the template & change the products & categories accordingly?
Thanks.

This is because you are using block widgets that are introduced in the latest version of WordPress.
You can disable block widgets as described below.

Hey, thanks for the info.
I managed to disable the widget block editor however now I am unable to add or remove any widgets? I did log out & back in after I added the code.
The widgets are accessible for me after deactivating the block editor.
Would you mind if I log in to your site and do quick troubleshooting? If this is ok then could you please temporarily create an admin user account and share the account login details privately by adding them in the box having text “Enter your private content here (only you and forum moderators will be able to see it)”?
Hi,
I managed to build the shop with the widgets however I am unable to:
Thanks.
The line underneath the Filter by Price title is currently black & I want to change it
You can achieve it by adding the following CSS code in the Custom CSS code option of your theme on the below path.
Admin Area -> Gillion -> Theme Settings -> Custom CSS/JS -> CSS Code
#sidebar h3.widget-title { border-bottom: 2px solid #c7bebe !important; }
The price /discount tags are orange & I want to change it
You can change its color by using the Yellow Pencil editor as described on the below page.

Can we switch the shop page to Elementor?
Yes, as described below.
