I read the documentation, but the Envato Toolkit is properly installed and nowhere does it provide an option to update Jevelin automatically. How do I go about updating Jevelin with (or without) toolkit? Thank you in advance.

I hope you are well today and thank you for your question.
You can update by either deleting existing theme and then install latest theme version of it downloading from below or use the following plugin to update the theme.
https://wordpress.org/plugins/easy-theme-and-plugin-upgrades/
After activating the above plugin just install the below downloaded theme on your site.

No it won’t as it is stored in the database.
