hi.. most other themes allow you to add code (like tags or verification HTML from external services etc) to the site header or body, but there doesnt seem to be a way to do that with Gillion. Is there a way I havent found? Thanks.

I hope you are well today and thank you for your question.
The theme allows you to add CSS, JavaScript code and Google Analytics ID as displayed in the attached screenshot.
If you want to add any other code then you can do so as described below.

Yes, you are right as it is plugin territory and the WordPress themes are primarily used for designing websites and not to provide functionality.
