Hi Team,
I’m sure it’s a very stupid question, but how do I actually edit your preset pages? I downloaded your “Blog” template. So, when I open a certain page to edit (e.g. “your ocean of posts) and click on Visual Page Builder-Button, there is no structure shown (see attachment). As far as I understood, Yellow Pencil is for editing ccs only, right?
Thanks for your help!
Best
marc
In the meantime I figured out how to build new pages. However, still couldn’t find a way to edit existing template pages…
Another two things:
// I want to show blog posts like in your side to side example. Found this solution from your forum. However, the mix template does not exist in my page templates.
// I built an own page with recent post overview. How can I add the category tags bar like in your side to side template (see attachment)?
Your help is very much appreciated!
Hi Marc,
I hope you are well today and thank you for your questions.

Blog page is a dynamic page and not static page. It is generated by Blog template so you can’t edit this page from content editor instead you have to develop custom code to edit it.

Right

You will find it in the edit page screen.
If you don’t find it then could you please share me the screenshot of what you are getting?

You can display it by enabling Blog Categories Tabs as shown in the attached screenshot.
Best regards,

Hi Team,
thanks for your quick reply and the answers! That solved most of my questioning. I swear, I double-checked for the mix option in blog template, but wasn’t displayed. However, I’ve obviously overseen it, as it’s there now – and works. So thanks for your patience in support…
The only thing: Category tabs do now appear with this template / options, but all site structure I built with page builder gets overwritten / is not shown in frontend page. Basically, what I’m aiming for is a customized page with one section showing recent blog posts á la “side to side” including the category filter. How do I manage?
Thanks for your help

I am not sure I understood your question clearly so could you please explain it a bit more in detail by sharing screenshots of the screens?
I built a page with some content via visual builder, containing a section with header image and one with blog posts. My page settings are as follows:
General -> Page Layout -> Full width
Blog -> Blog Style -> Mix
Blog -> Blog Categories Tabs -> On
Using standard template (under page attributes):
Site content is displayed correctly, but category tabs are missing. Further, blog posts are in masonry style (see attached file 1_standard_template.jpg).
Using blog template (under page attributes):
Category tabs and “side to side” post layouts work just fine. However, that’s the only content on the page. My built content doesn’t show up, like it’s overwritten by the template. (see attached file 2_blog_template.jpg).
Hope I could clarify my issue…

In the page blog settings please make sure the Blog Editor Content option is set to On as shown in the attached screenshot so that the page content will also get displayed.
Thank you, that worked a way. Slowly getting there… However, still not looking like your template. In fullwidth setting everything is overstreched. That’s not much of a problem, can solve that via own css. But image and text of a post are shown underneath eachother (see attachment).
Thanks for helping
Marc
Could you please share me the page URL from your site where it is not displaying correctly so that I can troubleshoot it?
Here you go…
I could confirm the issue on your shared site but couldn’t reproduce it on my test site so could you please tell me how you have made it full width causing this issue?
Please share screenshot of your full width settings.
Thank you for sharing the settings screenshots but it is working fine for me on my test site using below latest version of theme so could you please update your site theme to the below latest version?
Please login to access this file
Thx. I updated but still the same…
This can be due to plugin conflict on your site so please try temporary deactivating all plugins except Unyson plugin and see whether everything works fine and then enable the plugins one by one to see which plugin is conflicting if any.
If it is not plugin conflict then would you mind if i log in to your site and do some troubleshooting? If this is ok then could you please share me your site log in details privately by adding them in the box having text “Click here to share private content. Only you and forum moderators will be able to see it.”?
