    Hi there,

    Are you using the latest theme version and have the theme been modified?

    We just checked this file in our latest theme version and the mentioned file looks different for us.

    Best regards,

    I think it is not the latest version… and i’m not sure if there is modification… it’s been a couple months since the last time this website was maintained and it was by a different person… I want to update the website’s plugins and see if it can fix some issues in the website. But first, I want to make sure that I had done the backup properly by testing my backup website in the local server.

    It depends on the version, but we would recommend you to create a current theme backup and try to updating the theme to the latest version.  Then see if everything works fine

    Hello Dev team,

    To be frank, that’s what I want to do. That’s why I tried to check if my back up is working properly on the local server. I don’t want to find out later that my backup is not working well and can’t be used to restore my website after making changes to the live server. Now, the backup not even work on local server so I want to consult here.

    Ok, then we need to understand the issue with the backup.

    When restoring the backup is theme being also added from the backup? If yes, maybe you can skip that as the theme folder doesn’t contain any data or just overwrite it manually after the backup is complete

    Hello dev team,

    i tried to replace the jevelin theme folder with the one i downloaded from theme forest(newer one)… at first i get redirected to 404 page but then i tried to add some code in wp-config:

    define( ‘WP_HOME’, ‘http://example.com’  );
    define( ‘WP_SITEURL’, ‘http://example.com’  );

    to make every permalink change to local server. then it all worked out. So, does this mean the jevelin theme folder from my live server is corrupted somehow?

    Hi there,

    In rare cases theme files could get corrupted. We have had some tickets before where updating to new downloaded files form Themeforest solves the issue.

    Best regards,

    Shufflehound team
