    Hi there,

I’m working on a tabbed content section, and would like the buttons on the first tab (tech specs) to link through to the third tab (faqs) when clicked. At the moment, the button click action simply scrolls down to the next section (vertically on the page), rather than to the desired tab. I’ve entered the section ID so not sure what the problem could be. Could you please look into this for me?

Many thanks – login credentials in PM.

    Hi @nichigson,

I hope you are well today and thank you for your question.

To achieve this, you have to develop a custom javascript code in the child theme of the Jevelin theme.

Developing custom code for custom functionality is beyond the scope of support that we provide here. Please see https://themeforest.net/item/jevelin-multipurpose-premium-responsive-wordpress-theme/14728833/support

If you are not a developer then you can consider hiring a developer to develop it for you. You can hire a developer from any freelance site. Shufflehound recommends the developer https://www.upwork.com/freelancers/~011652ffec8865c6d5

    Best regards,
    Shufflehound team

    Hi there,

Thanks for you’re feedback. I have to say I’m a little bit surprised to hear this would require custom development as it seems like a pretty basic feature for this particular element.

If you don’t mind me asking, what’s the point of each tab having a section ID?

    Thanks,

    Nic

After further testing the tab functionality, it seems we can achieve this without custom coding.

Could you please try using the URL for the buttons as following?

    Hi there,

Thanks for testing this further. Using my example that I referenced in my original message, the click action now works but only at the first time of asking – if you go back to the first tab and click on the button in the second column, it will simply scroll down to the next section.

    Thanks for looking into this,

    Nic

But If we refresh the page after clicking on the button then it goes to the correct tab so it seems you have to refresh the page developing custom javascript code.
