    Hello,

If you go to this page http://www.stevenkuppers.com/project/childcare_aware/ or any Portfolio page, the Share feature is not working properly. I click on Share, then Facebook and the pop up is picking up the correct text, but the image that posts with the Share is using my Logo and not the Portfolio artwork. Can you please tell me how how I may fix this please. I’m hoping that this fix, fixes the other Social Media Shares included with the button on my site.

I attached a screenshot, so you can see what it WANTS to post. I also went to your site and clicked on a Jevelin demo, shared a Project from a theme and it also picked up an incorrect image, but the text it picked up was correct. I hope you can help me since this is a very important feature for my work.

Thank you very much for your support.

    Steven

    Hi Steven,

I hope you are well today and thank you for your question.

You can resolve it using this plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/wordpress-seo/ as described on the following page.

    Best regards,

Thank you for this. I implemented the Facebook step, but it did not work. Out of the box, your theme claims to be able to post to Social Media platforms using the tool on the page. The Share tool does post an image, even on your demo site, but it is the incorrect image. Not sure why it is is picking up the wrong image and this happens for all the Projects where there is the Share button. Does the Share button not work?

    Solution for this topic

I can see it is working fine now on your site as shown in the attached screenshot.

Sometime you have to clear the facbook old cache from https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/ to reflect the changes.

Yes the theme implements share functionality but to make it work correctly your site needs to have facebook open graph tags like og:image which is plugin territory functionality so you need to also use plugin like Yoast SEO to achieve this.

    Solution for this topic

Got it. I guess there are many ways to get things done. I was able to go into Facebook and scrape each individual Project page and by doing that, Facebook picked up the correct graphic. I believe this would work with or without Yoast, but pretty sweet Plugin non-the-less.

Thank you for the follow up.

    Steven

You are most welcome here 🙂
