Yes, when I activate the parent theme it doesn’t get this error.
It is because of the .sh-header-top class is assigned with white background and when I save the theme settings it gets overridden with the black background. Refer the attachment
Please let me know how can we resolve this issue.

I haven’t redeclared the function, it’s already in your file and I don’t want to customize that function, I am want to modify the other code.
And as per the WordPress child theme documentation, if we copy the parent theme file to Child theme folder then it will use the Child Theme’s file. I am quoting text from their documentation
“Other than the
functions.phpfile (as noted above), any file you add to your child theme will overwrite the same file in the parent theme.”So technically it should work, I believe you have followed all the WordPress coding standards.
