I’d like to change the width for the desktop navigation – I’m working on a site where the navigation collapses too soon (around 1024px). The navigation I’m using can handle much smaller width and I’d like it to remain fully visible until around 800px or so.
What CSS style should I be looking to redefine the media query for? Best way to do this in the custom CSS or by editing a style sheet in the child theme?

To achieve this you have to develop custom CSS code and overwrite theme style by adding custom CSS code in the style.css file of child theme.
