im sure there’s a thread for this
couldn’t find it
but theme is counting my own post views
i have it disabled in jetpack to not count my post views as administrator
can you look into this to see what’s going on?
Hi there,
Our theme uses built-in post view counting function. Therefore isn’t affected with Jetpack plugin option changes. Do you think we should change our view counting function to work like this for all theme users?
Best regards,
Shufflehound team
Yes,
Because the theme is counting the administrator’s page views, even in draft mode (while previewing the post before publishing), it obscurs the actual amount of times a page is viewed by an external user.
It would work better if theme only counted post views of those who are not
-Administrator
-Editor
-Author
-Contributor
-SEO Manager
-SEO Editor
stuff like that
The issue is fixed in the below latest version of theme so please update your theme.
Please login to access this file
You can update it by either deleting existing theme and then install latest theme version of it or use the following plugin to update the theme. https://wordpress.org/plugins/easy-theme-and-plugin-upgrades/
After activating the above plugin just install the downloaded theme on your site.
You won’t lose your site content after updating the theme but for safer side you can take backup of your site before updating the theme.
Let us know if the issue is fixed.
After trying to add new theme file, it gives an error and says
“are you sure you want to do this?”
it does not allow for direct upload without going through cpanel, from direct beta file in your last post
Please follow this:

Tried that, didn’t work
check screenshot below, it gives me this error
Oh, then it could be because PHP file upload limit is too low (like 2MB and our theme ZIP file is about 3MB).
You can either increase PHP upload limit or upload theme files via FTP connection.
php size already set pls refer to screenshot
Then it is hard to say why it now suddenly doesn’t want to install.
Did before it install just fine?
Also you can try to download latest theme version from Themeforest (it is no uploaded also there).
Ok I got it !
Ok, please let us know if the issue is fixed. 🙂
I think so, i have been testing it, and it seems that it no longer counts admin views
I think this is what you want which you said in your initial reply “i have it disabled in jetpack to not count my post views as administrator”.
Please advise.
Yes, it no longer counts my post views (as far as I can tell)
That is what you want to achieve that your views as an administrator should not be counted?
Yes, and for all people who have logged into the site who are not subscribers (i.e. editors, admins, contributors, etc.)
it’s working properly, so far
Glad it is working fine for you 🙂
