I have set up a contact form (see attached) but anytime I send an email through the site or even attempt a test message, it does not work. I use GoDaddy emails and can’t seem to find SMTP settings, but to be honest I don’t want to use them either. I want this to work as it is suppose to.

I downloaded the Check Mail plugin and the test email sends and receives fine from there (see screenshot).

Additionally, the email address in the settings is not the one I want to use. When I try to change that it says that it has sent the new email address an email to confirm, but the email never arrives (see screenshot).

    Can you please assist?

    Hi @rgarner,

I hope you are well today and thank you for your question.

Yes I can see it says Sent email in the shared screenshot but did you receive the email?

It is your site settings and it has nothing to do with theme so it seems your site doesn’t send emails.

You can troubleshoot and fix the issue as described in the following pages.

Yes I did. I’ll take a look at the links and get back to you.

This means it is most likely a misconfiguration with your contact form plugin or an incompatibility.

The Test Email sent and received fine. So apparently it is a problem with your Contact Form Widget according to this.

From where have you sent the test email?

Would you mind if I log in to your site and do some troubleshooting? If this is ok then could you please share me your site log in details privately by adding them in the box having text “Click here to share private content. Only you and forum moderators will be able to see it.”?

I sent the email using the plugin. Sure thing, I’ll give you the information now in the field requested.

As you are using custom domain email address so please use SMTP send method in the contact form settings and configure its options as shown in the attached screenshot.

Also I can see you are using outdated version of PHP on your site as shown in the attached screenshot so please update it to the latest version by contacting your web host.
