Hey,
my excerpt from my posts shows HTML in it on my blog or start page.
I have already updated the theme and everything else and added the wanted excerpt to the excerpt section of my posts but it is not getting updated. Any ideas?

I can see you are using older version of theme on your site so could you please update it to the following latest version of theme?
I did update it, but still no changes.
I could confirm the issue on my test site which occurs when using Masonry 2.0 Standard blog style therefore notified the theme developer about this so that it will be fixed.
The issue will be fixed ASAP.
In the meanwhile you can try resolving the issue using any other blog style as shown in the attached screenshot.
