I have been able to edit the footer with YellowPencil. I’d like to be able to edit this in a different environment so that I can use the email icon and associated email functional. Example:
It says contact [email protected], I’d like that be either link to a contact form where a “customer” could ask a question, share feedback, etc or at least have it click a mailto: trigger where they could send an email from their end.
I would prefer the first method, where it could link to a more thorough contact form. I’d like people to stay on the site rather than have their default mail app open and send an email that way.
Thoughts?
TIA,
Robert
Hi Robert,
I hope you are well today and thank you for your question.
To achieve this you can use Text widget in the footer widget area then add HTML anchor link code in it to link to email address.

I should ask, the only way I found to edit the footer entirely, was with Yellowpencil. In Jevelin > Theme Settings > Footer it seems I can only edit the basic information.
Suggestion on being able to edit the entire footer so I can add what you said to add?
Thanks,
Robert
As said above please enable the Footer widget area on your site and add Text widget into it then into that text widget add email link markup as described in the following page.
I apologize for not seeing this. I’ve tried what you suggested and I can’t seem to make it work.
I actually would rather have a smaller contact form rather than an anchored link. I feel if I could put a form with: Name, email and message, it would look more professional.
Same issue, I’ve enabled the footer widgets and I can’t seem to get anything to show up.

You can create it using following contact form plugin.
https://wordpress.org/plugins/contact-form-7/
Same issue, I’ve enabled the footer widgets and I can’t seem to get anything to show up.
Would you mind if I log in to your site and do some troubleshooting? If this is ok then could you please share me your site log in details privately by adding them in the box having text “Click here to share private content. Only you and forum moderators will be able to see it.”?
Thank you. Details are in the Private Info Field.
I can see footer widget area and widgets are displaying fine on your site as shown in the attached screenshot.
Also your shared site user account doesn’t have permission to view theme settings as displayed in the second attached screenshot.
If you need to try again I gave appropriate permissions. Sorry about that and thank you for your help.
I see the widgets, as you have pointed out but I can’t edit it. I’ve used YellowPencil and I don’t really care for it. My problem is getting a full contact form in the Contact us widget area.
Robert
You can edit it in the Footer widgets area as shown in the attached screenshot.
To display there contact us form I have already suggested you above to use plugin but If you don’t know how then you can consider hiring a developer to develop it for you. You can hire a developer from any freelance site. Shufflehound recommends the developer https://www.upwork.com/freelancers/~011652ffec8865c6d5
Thank you sir. I will work on it. I appreciate your time and help.
Robert
You are most welcome here 🙂
