I have spent all weekend trying to get the mailer to work. We have a gmail address but the plugin WP SMTP did not help as I kept getting errors no matter how many times I tried doing everything I had to do through google. So now I want to use SMTP but the plugin wants to charge me. Do I have to pay to be able to send out receipts? What am I missing? Please help!

Please use the following plugin to test whether your site sends emails successfully.

If your website and above plugin don’t send test email then you can troubleshoot and fix the email not getting sent issue as described in the below pages.
