    Hello,

Once I click away from the home screen on my site, the top menu links do not work. How do I set them to go back to their section on the home page?

    Hi @amandaemonaghan,

I hope you are well today and thank you for your question.

Could you please share me your site URL where it’s happening so that i can troubleshoot it?

    Best regards,
    Shufflehound team

Hi there, sorry for the delay. Here is a sample link http://amandamonaghan.ca/portfolio/

Basically, the menu items at the top “About Amanda, Portfolio, Contact” do not link to their appropriate sections when you are on any page but the home page. I have no idea how to fix this…

I can see on your site you have linked your menu items like #aboutus but instead use full URLs for the links like http://amandamonaghan.ca/#aboutus

I think this is because on the homepage, those menu items jump down to a style block/section, rather than a page with a URL. I didn’t set those up, I had contracted someone through Envato to set it up. They suggested I reach out to ShuffleHound for support on the links not working when not on the homepage.

How do I make it so that it jumps down to the section on the homepage, but still links to the section when not on the homepage?

    Solution for this topic

Just edit them from Menus settings in the admin area of your site as displayed in the attached screenshot.

But then it wont jump down to that section when I am on the homepage…?

When you change the URL at all, it doesn’t work anymore. It doesn’t go to the associated sections on the homepage.

How do I make it so that the link associated with the section works and redirects to the right section, no matter what page I am on?

Are we able to do a screen share session, or some other form of support to better communicate the issue, and resolve it?

It will work everywhere just do what i am telling you.

Change the #portfolio to http://amandamonaghan.ca/#portfolio in the menu URL field of your site pointed by arrow in the shared screenshot and do this for all other internal links also.
