I was having dificulties with linking a portfolio image to the corresponding page when you click on the image in the portfolio gallery.
I was following the documentation directions by placing the portfolio content element shortcode in the layout and added all the information in the portfolio post page. When I press the image, this shows up for the page (screen shots attached) instead of this https://jevelin.shufflehound.com/project/the-rising-hound/

Sorry to hear of the problem you are having.
Please try resaving your site permalink settings and if needed also reset htaccess file as described in this page https://www.tipsandtricks-hq.com/how-to-reset-the-htaccess-file-of-your-wordpress-site-using-ftp-8527
This can be due to plugin conflict on your site so please try temporary deactivating all plugins except Unyson plugin and see whether everything works fine and then enable the plugins one by one to see which plugin is conflicting if any.
