Hello,
I’ve been using the Gillion theme for some time, and I love it. However, when I first started writing on my site, I removed the author tags on the website using yellow pencil (I just selected them and pressed delete) since I was just starting building the content. I’d like to restore them now, but I’m not sure how to go about that. Changing the Gillion theme settings to display author and date does not work and I think it may be that I deleted the code when I deleted the authors in yellowpencil.

I hope you are well today and thank you for your question.
As you have removed it using Yellow Pencil editor so to display it now you have to remove the code from the Yellow Pencil Editor that hides it.
You can reset the Yellow Pencil editor as described in the below pages.
