Hi, we recently bought the gillion theme and we have been having issues using it. Our site constantly redirects to the wp install page after every other minute. We have contacted our host and here is what they had to say

    Hello Belarmina,

I understand your concern regarding the website redirecting to installation page. I am sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused to you.

I could see following error generated for website :

User ‘xxxxxxxxxx’ has exceeded the ‘max_questions’ resource (current value: 150000)

The error says MySQL query limit has been exceeded maximum limit of 1,50,000 queries/hr. Your account has been already upgraded to MySQL pro server. I’m afraid it would not be possible to tell what exactly is causing the query limits exceeding. Even the server error logs does not specify the exact plugin or theme which is causing issue. Have you recently installed any plugin or theme to your website? The recently installed plugins/modules may be running huge queries or consuming huge connections and thus, causing the issue. If you have recently installed any plugin or module, please uninstall it through admin page or remove them manually through FTP or File Manager and then monitor the functionality of your website.

Here’s the link to learn more about disabling plugin through dashboard and through File Manager or FTP : https://www.ipower.com/help/article/wordpress-how-to-uninstall-a-plugin

Here’s the link to learn more about disabling theme through dashboard and through File Manager or FTP : https://www.ipower.com/help/article/wordpress-how-to-uninstall-a-theme

If you have not made any changes or any plugin/theme are not installed recently, then the best option is to re-upload the properly working conditioned files (which was working fine before doing any updates) and restore the database of your website from your local backup. Here’s the link to know about importing backup file to the database through PhpMyAdmin interface: https://www.ipower.com/help/article/importing-mysql-tables-using-phpmyadmin

Additionally you can verify visitor statistics and if there is more number of hits from suspected IP you can block it by referring : https://www.ipower.com/help/article/blocking-users-with-specific-ip-addresses-from-accessing-your-site-using-the-htaccess-editor

Please feel free to reply to this email if you have any further questions, we are happy to help you.

Sincerely,
Ishwara M
Escalated Support

Also, we got this under tools > site health

A PHP session was created by a session_start() function call. This interferes with REST API and loopback requests. The session should be closed by session_write_close() before making any HTTP requests.

we need help. our website is latinheat.com. We have temporarily deactivated most plugins.

    Thanks

    Hi @latinheat,

I hope you are well today and thank you for your question.

I have tested it on my test site and it’s working fine for me without any issue and also it works fine on the thousands of wesbites of our users.

It doesn’t seem the theme issue but can be a Unyson plugin issue that causes session_start error which you can resolve as described below.

    Best regards,
    Shufflehound team
