    Hello,

I’ve uploaded a new background image and optimized it for web, so it’s only 324kb. When the page is loading, a black background seems to appear first, and then the image is loading. It’s really not a great experience, and my SEO ranking will be negatively affected. What can I do to make the background image load instantly?

    Hi @Frans,

I hope you are well today and thank you for your question.

Your site background image is too much bigger than required which you can confirm by visiting shared image URL  in private area so please make sit smaller.

To load it faster you can use WordPress cache plugin on your site.

I am not sure how the site background image affects SEO ranking.

    Best regards,
    Shufflehound team

    Hello,

What size is required? I don’t understand what’s meant by “visiting shared image URL  in private area” 🙂

    What size is required?

There isn’t any size requirement so please try which best display on your site. You can try reducing existing image by half.

Don’t you see the image URL that I have shared above in private reply as shown in the attached screenshot?

You can also visit below URL where you have to replace yoursite  with your site domain name.

Unfortunately, I don’t see anything in the “private reply”. Please see screenshot.

I will try to reduce the size in half.

    Thanks,
