Home › Forums › Jevelin Theme › Demo Content – Slider Revolution – 405 not allowed
Hello,
website: refinedradiancesd.com
I installed the demo content (beauty) to a new WP site. There was no content there prior to installing the Jevelin theme and importing the demo content (other than one plugin – WP Maintenance Mode, which is currently activated). When I click on the menu nav buttons (home, services, testimonials, etc) it goes to a “405 Not Allowed” page. But then when I go back a page it has scrolled to the correct area of the page.
I am using a new hosted plan on my web host, and made sure that the PHP is updated, so I think I should be good to go there.
Can you help me troubleshoot?
Thanks in advance.
Drew
Hi Drew,
I hope you are well today and thank you for your question.
Please try resaving your site permalink settings in your site admin area on the below path.
Admin Area -> Settings -> Permalinks
If it still doesn’t work then also try resetting your site htaccess file as described in the following pages.
https://bordercrossingmedia.com/2009/01/how-to-restore-your-wordpress-htaccess-file/
https://www.webhostinghero.com/restore-damaged-htaccess-file-wordpress/
Your shared site is not publicly accessible.
Would you mind if I log in to your site and do some troubleshooting? If this is ok then could you please temporary share me your site admin log in details privately by adding them in the box having text “Enter your private content here (only you and forum moderators will be able see it)”?
Best regards,
Shufflehound team
Hi,
Thanks for your help! I will try those methods in a couple hours. See private field for info.
Best,
Drew
See private info field for cpanel info.
Hello,
I attempted to both re-save permalinks as well as reset and restore the .htaccess. I still receive the 405 error. It also says nginx below the error. See screenshots below (1st image shows page when clicking on testimonials, 2nd shows page when clicking on home).
Please advise.
Thanks.
Solution for this topic
Figured it out – overlooked the simple answer: the custom link URL that was assigned to each menu button still had the cdn.jevelin.shufflehound.com url. You can see it in the screenshots I uploaded.
Thanks for the help.
Drew
Awesome great to see you got that figured out.
Please advise if you have more questions.
Have a fantastic day!
