Hi,
A few weeks ago a theme update came out and I forgot to install this.
Attempting to doing so now gives the below error:
Unpacking the package…
Installing the theme…
Destination folder already exists. /home2/natanie1/public_html/wp-content/themes/jevelin/
Theme installation failed.
Furthermore, I noticed that I forgot to add the child theme, so I’ve been working in the parent theme instead.
Note: Child theme has been installed now.
The only things I’ve done so far is basically, removing all blog posts, pages that came with it by default.
And change the theme font, site color and adding plugins and my own pages.
Questions:
- Is this the above reason why I’m unable to update?
- How can I keep my work and still update to the latest version?

No, I don’t think so.
Please try updating to the below latest theme version as described here https://support.shufflehound.com/updating-theme/
How can I keep my work and still update to the latest version?
If you have not made any changes in the theme files then your work will be intact after updating the theme.
If you have made changes in the theme files then you have to make those changes again in the files after updating the theme as the theme update overwrites the theme files.

Through the use of the plugin I have successfully updated the theme now.
