When I purchased Jevelin it said that it came with a child theme, however using the child theme is not an option in the themes, nor do I see it in the FTP file manager. How do I ensure that I am using the child theme so I can make edits to the website’s code that will not go away with updates.
Please do not give the standard line about hiring a developer or this being outside the scope of the support that appears in every other ticket about child themes, I am not asking for you to write custom code. I am asking about using the feature (child theme) that is explicitly mentioned as a feature of the Jevelin theme and is a key reason I purchased the theme.

You can get child theme from your downloaded zip file from ThemeForest or you can download and use an attached child theme.
The child theme is like any other theme that you can activate from Admin Area -> Appearance -> Themes
