Home › Forums › Jevelin Theme › WooCommerce Theme Template Files over a Decade Old?
Hi! We recently ran a promotion with our mailing list and had a surge of traffic and a lot of incoming sales within a short period of time.
We had a number of server issues that resulted in duplicate orders and multiple charges.
We’ve queried this with both our hosting company and WooCommerce and the issue seems to stem from outdated template files Javelin is using from WooCommerce 2.0, which as noted is a decade old.
We’re disappointed that we elected to purchase this well-regarded premium theme and it’s resulting in an issue we had never previously experienced since switching.
Could somebody please advise if these files can be updated without affecting any of the core functionality of the theme or are they old by design? I just want to make sure no further disruption gets caused in updating.
Any help here would be greatly appreciated.

Hi there,
We are sorry to hear that.
Can you please let us know if the theme is updated to the latest version? (5.6)
Best regards,

Hi, yes – running the latest version of the theme and WooCommerce support have flagged this as the root cause of a serious issue we’re having with our site. Could you please advise on how to remedy this and could this be rectified for a future update so other users don’t experience the same issue? Thanks
Hi there,
We can see that the latest WooCommerce versions 7.7 and up have minor file template changes. That is why you have the message regarding the outdated theme files.
Regarding WooCommerce 2.0 version files – WooCommerce changes file versions only when there are some changes, so we have multiple 2.0, 3.0, etc version files, which are the latest versions available for those files.
We just updated those files in the latest beta version below. File changes were very minor – mostly code syntax and HTML improvements.
