Hi there, my contact form is not sending emails.
I have installed the check email plugin and received an email.
Can someone help with the contact form settings?

Sorry to hear of the problem you are having.
Have you configured the contact form settings?
Please make sure to configure mailer settings as shown in the attached screenshot.

It seems from your shared screenshot that you are using custom email address.
In that case you have to use Send Method as SMTP and configure its settings.
If I don’t use a custom email address, it still doesn’t send.
I have removed the email address and selected wp-mail.
Now what should happen?
In that case you can use email address such as gmail.
Please check whether test email gets sent from that contact form.
If it still doesn’t then could you please share me the page URL from your site where it is not working correctly so that I can troubleshoot it?
Also would you mind if I log in to your site and do some troubleshooting? If this is ok then could you please share me your site log in details privately by adding them in the box having text “Click here to share private content. Only you and forum moderators will be able to see it.”?
How does it know which email to send it to?
I put in my email address to test on the settings page but I didnt get an email.
I logged into your site and confirmed that the email is getting sent on your site contact form and also the contact form test email as shown in the attached screenshots.
Is it started working fine now?
Please also check your SPAM folder.

I tried another email address and that worked.
Yes then it seems something is wrong with your hotmail account configuration.
I don’t understand what could be wrong with it? All other emails come through to my hotmail account. Any ideas?

You have to set up SMTP for it as described in the following pages.

You can change from name in the contact form settings as shown in the attached screenshot.

Thanks for the above info. I have worked out my hosting company was blocking the emails.
Emails are now sending.
One other question I have is related to where the green ‘Message sent’ comes in on the page. Can we customise this?

I am having the same problem as above. I have tried to use 2 different gmail and 1 yahoo email account and none have worked. If you want, I can send you my log in information since I have already put myself through the troubleshooting steps above.
