Home › Forums › Jevelin Theme › Redux menu item doesn’t show HTML description
I recently moved from Unyson to Redux and converted all the pages over. I’m in the process of testing deactivating the Unyson plugin and I noticed an issue with the mega menu. I was using the description field of the custom link menu item to show an image in the menu (see attached Unyson). When I deactivate the Unyson plugin, the image doesn’t show in the menu, and I see that the corresponding field doesn’t show on the menu administration area (see attached Redux).
I’m on Jevelin 5.10.
Hi there,
Yes, we can confirm this.
Currently, this is one of the few limitations of moving to Redux. Previously, this feature was natively supported by Unyson. Unfortunately, Redux does not offer this feature, and we have not yet found an easy way to implement it.

Got it. It seems the mega menu is fairly basic then, in the sense that it can only really show a list of links in multiple columns. Is there an alternative plugin you recommend (or way within Jevelin) to create a more visually interesting menu, similar to how widgets can be used to design the footer?
Hi there,
Yes, we agree with that.
Currently, we don’t have any recommended plugins for this feature, but you can try some third-party plugins like this one.
