Home › Forums › Jevelin Theme › Custom headers and footers not working
Hi,
I’ve just started working with the Jevelin template and I was very happy to see that there are “Headers” and “Footers” and I can create my own unique designs. So I started to play with these, and what I found is that I can create a header/footer and preview it without a problem, but once I hit “Publish” and I try to see the header/footer I created I get the “404 – Page could not be found” message.
Would you have any advice how I could fix this issue?
Thank you!
Andi
Hi Andi,
I hope you are well today and thank you for your question.
Please try resaving your website permalink settings in the website admin area.
Could you please share the page URL from your website where you are getting “404 – Page could not be found” error?
Also, would you mind if I log in to your site and do some troubleshooting? If this is ok then could you please temporarily share me your site admin login details privately by adding them in the box having text “Enter your private content here (only you and forum moderators will be able to see it)”?
Best regards,
Shufflehound team
Hi,
I don’t know if the problem was solved only because I resaved the permalinks, but now I don’t get the error message anymore. However, a new issue has come up…
So when I’m selecting the header style in Appearance>Customize>Header, the selected custom header doesn’t show up neither in the preview (see screenshot) nor on the site after publishing. In the attached example the link of the header called “Another Test Header” is:
http://test.sz2a.hu/shufflehound_header/another-test-header/
And my page is:
Thanks again for your help!
Andi
Sorry, now that I was checking back for an answer, I realised that there was a third part of your message, please see my login details in the private information field.
Thanks so much for your help in advance and sorry for my clumsiness!
I can’t log into your shared website as I am getting an error “You don’t have permission to access this resource”.
Could you please share the screenshots of your theme header settings and Page header settings by editing the page as shown in the attached screenshots?
