    Hi,

I have a client who uses your theme and contact form. Looks great on the front end but on the backend, when he receives and email the text comes through in one ling line rather than on a few different lines as a normal email would.

Can you please advise how we can alter this as it looks fine when entering text on the front end?

    Thanks, Adam

    Hi Adam,

I hope you are well today and thank you for your question.

I have sent a test email from your site using contact form so could you please share me screenshot of it so that I can understand how it displays for you?

This can be due to plugin conflict on your site so please try temporary deactivating all plugins except Unyson plugin and see whether everything works fine and then enable the plugins one by one to see which plugin is conflicting if any.

    Best regards,
    Shufflehound team

I logged in to your site and temporary changed contact form email id to my email id and sent test email which displays fine for me as shown in the attached screenshots.

It seems the issue is occurring due to email client that you are using so please try using another email client.

hi, yes if you type some words and then hit return it will come through correctly.

However, when you’re typing a long message on the front end, the form automatically returns for you without you needing to hit return yourself. It’s when this happens that the problem occurs.

    Thanks, Adam

Actually when you type long message then it doesn’t return but instead it breaks the message and display some part in new line because of smaller size of text field which can’t contain whole message text in new line.

If you want to display text in new line then just press Enter key and write it on new line.

“If you want to display text in new line then just press Enter key and write it on new line.” – It’s not if I want to display text on a new line – I don’t submit the message, the user does and I don’t want to display a message on the contact form asking them to hit the return button because the website theme can’t quite manage that!

I suggest you either 1) resolve this issue rather than continue to send back useless answers in this thread or 2) pass this request onto someone who knows how to resolve this issue.

I have purchased this theme more than once and will quite happily rate all of the purchases in theme forest as awful support – which is what you are currently supplying!!!

I am not sure why don’t you understand basic HTML text area behaviour and think this is contact form issue which is wrong but let me explain you once again as it is very simple and basic thing.

Please see first two screenshots of Google email textarea where i write a message “This is one long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long statement”  in one line but it displays on multiple line depending on the area of textbox.

This textarea behaviour is all over the web universe and the same is happening on your site as displayed in the last two screenshots.

I hope it makes things clear for you.

Have you tested this in Outlook as it’s not working for me (using outlook).

I don’t have this issue with other themes.

Your attitude is disgusting and very unprofessional!

I’ll get a private developer to look into the issue and will now leave my feedback accordingly.

    Do not bother to reply.

So do you mean the same message works for you on other email clients but not on outlook?

As said above multiple times it is not theme or contact form issue but how your users type messages. If they type message on one line then it will be displayed in one line.

I have tested it on your site as displayed in the shared screenshots above and it works fine for me.

    Have you tested it yourself?

I’ve obviously tested it myself mate. I’ve now passed it to my developer to look into as this is message number 6 in the thread and I’m no further forward. Maybe you’ve not tested it yourself in Outlook when you type a long continuous line?

Yes I have tested it with test message and it’s displaying fine for me.
