Hello,
I’m using the squares for the portfolio and it understandably crops the images to be square. However, I’d like the portfolio to use my defined thumbnails instead of doing it itself (so statues’ heads aren’t cropped off). Can this be done?

Hi there,
If you are using “Portfolio” element, then you can show full images by changing “Image Ratio” to Fuild.

Right, I know I can do that. But I was hoping to use Square. Is it possible to have the portfolio pull the correct thumbnails?

Just to verify your issue – you want to crop these square images yourself?
If necessary. Portfolio crops the images to squares (if chosen) by using the centers of the images, but these aren’t always the best thumbnails for my images. I’ve been altering the thumbnails for some pictures in Media and thought that would do the trick but it doesn’t.
At the moment the only solution we will think about is to use some kind of plugin, for example, you can test this one.
