    Hi,

Here’s what I want to do:

I want to create a portfolio section that I can use to then click to to download files. As an example, let’s say I have powerpoint templates I want people to be able to download and I want to use the Portfolio functionality to show those. The user would see one they want, click through and on the next page, be able to click to download.

    Is this overall possible?

The first issue I am having is that I can’t seem to create a ‘Project’ and then assign it to a ‘Category.’ I see nowhere in the ‘Project’ page to do so.

You can see what I have currently at the bottom of this page: https://www.shootthecurlmarketing.com/drive-market-and-competitive-insights/

    Hi @dlorti,

I hope you are well today and thank you for your questions.

To achieve this, you have to develop custom code in the child theme of Jevelin theme.

Developing custom code for custom functionality is beyond the scope of support that we provide here. Please see https://themeforest.net/item/jevelin-multipurpose-premium-responsive-wordpress-theme/14728833/support

If you are not a developer then you can consider hiring a developer to develop it for you. You can hire a developer from any freelance site. Shufflehound recommends the developer https://www.upwork.com/freelancers/~011652ffec8865c6d5

Please make sure you have activated Unyson plugin and its Portfolio extension then you can do so as displayed in the attached screenshots.

    Best regards,
    Shufflehound team

    Hi again,

I checked the extension and it was activated. I noticed that on any portfolio projects, there is no Unyson button at the top and no category selector is displayed. I tried deactivating and then activating the extension and nothing changed.

    Any ideas?

    Hi,

Okay, after doing the above and doing nothing else, my website now only renders the header and footer and nothing in between.

    Help.

    Dave

Could you please share me the screenshots of the issues so that I can better understand?

Also, would you mind if I log in to your site and do some troubleshooting? If this is ok then could you please temporary share me your site admin log in details privately by adding them in the box having text “Enter your private content here (only you and forum moderators will be able see it)”?

Hi, did my file and access information come through for you?

    No, I didn’t get it.

Please share it again and also share it on [email protected]

Also please share me the screenshots of the issues so that I can better understand.

Regarding assigning categories to portfolio, it is a known issue with the Gutenberg editor which will be resolved soon.

In the meanwhile, you can use classic editor to use it as described in the below pages.

To resolve the page content issue please try updating the theme version on your site to the below latest version.

    Hi,

Can you provide a bit more context?

Also, my major issue is that none of my web pages render now when they did prior to deactivating and reactivating the Portfolio plugin on Unyson.

I need to get them up and running as soon as possible and I’m not sure the explanation you gave really addresses my major problem versus what is now the small problem (categories not being listed on ‘projects’ for portfolio).

    Thanks.

    Dave

Also, if I did disable Gutenberg, what happens to my Unyson-constructed pages?

As said above, to resolve the page content issue have you tried updating the theme version on your site?

    Nothing.

    Hi,

I’ve updated my Jevelin theme to the latest.

I installed the Classic Plugin and seem to have disabled Gutenberg.

I’m still having an issue with pages rendering when someone goes to my site.

I don’t know if this helps but when I try to “Preview Changes” within a page, I get this message.
    <h1>Internal Server Error</h1>
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator at [email protected] to inform them of the time this error occurred, and the actions you performed just before this error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Additionally, a 500 Internal Server Error error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

    All,

Just a reminder, this all seemed to start with my deactivating and reactivating the Portfolio extension of Unyson. Is it possible the problem lies there and not tied to anything else?

    Dave

Internal server error is a server related error and not theme related so please resolve it as described in the below page.

    http://freewptp.com/fix-wordpress-issue-internal-server-error/

Also if you think it is a portfolio extension related issue then does it work fine after deactivating the portfolio extension?

This can be due to plugin conflict on your site so please try temporary deactivating all plugins except Unyson plugin and WpBakery page builder plugins and see whether everything works fine and then enable the plugins one by one to see which plugin is conflicting if any.

    Hi,

I tried deactivating plugins to no avail. Still having the page not rendering issue.
