Hello,
My WordPress page is installed in a subdirectory, but page is served from the website root.
The problem I have is that in the portfolio page the link of category contains subdirectory path and when clicked it shows 404 error.
To give you example below…
My questions is how can I change:
https://mypage.com/new-web/portfolio/news/
to
https://mypage.com/portfolio/news/

You can configure how it should be displayed in your website permalink settings as shown in the attached screenshot.

thank you kindly for your reply…I have set everything the same as written in your instructions but it doesn’t solve the problem.
I’m not sure I have explained my problem well enough.
When you open project item https://petplus.hr/project/klub-54/
after the project text/above related item/ when clicked category EU it opens 404 error page.
The reason is the wrong permalink structure:
https://petplus.hr/novi-web/portfolio-category/eu/
where it should be
https://petplus.hr/portfolio-category/eu/
The permalink should be without /novi-web/ because it is subdirectory path and it shouldnt be insertet into permalink.
But I do not know how to remove it.

I logged into your website and saw this is happening because of novi-web added in your website WordPress Address (URL) option as shown in the attached screenshot so please remove it.

I cannot remove it because WP is indeed installed in subdirectory called novi-web and I want to keep it there.
What I want is portfolio category not to show novi-web path in permalink. The rest of the permalinks are ok (without novi-web) and so are the blog categories (they are show correctly). you can check it at this link https://petplus.hr/category/aktualni-projekti/So the only problem is with portfolio categories which permalinks are not show corectly.

I have notified the issue to the theme developer so that it will be fixed.
The issue will be fixed ASAP.
In the meanwhile, I have resolved the issue on your website by editing the theme file.
