    Hi,

     

    Unless I’m missing something, it seems totally random how many characters you get in a post excerpt before the three dotted lines are added and the text is cut off.

    Is there a certain amount of characters or words that it is limited too as I can’t work it out.

     

    I’ve attached a screen shot of three posts, all of them are maxed out but different lengths?

    Hi Ben,

     

    I hope you are well today and thank you for your question.

     

    It is the number of words and not characters.

     

    You can set in the theme settings to display the number of words as shown in the attached screenshot.
