  • After launching a site with the template we have done a detailed SEO analyzis on the site, and there are some issues which is related to the template itself. Would be great to get some feedback if this will be addressed in future updates, or if we need to do the fixes ourselves.

    • No use of <H1> headings, only <H2>. This is negative since <H1> is important for search engines to point out the most important topics on a page, and since <H2> is used instead there are actually a bit too many of those if you i.e. have a long list of posts on the startpage.
    • The Shufflehound About Us widget does not use the ALT tag for the image, even if the image has available alt text.
    • In order to reduce the number of HTTP requests the template should use HTTP Expires header to set an expiration time for  images or any other content type, and needs to be added in the .htaccess file. This could have been a config setting.

Have to also say that we are really pleased with the template and the overall quality here – great work!

We will resolve these issues in the future version of theme.

This is plugin territory and you can resolve this by using any of the following plugins.

You can use this plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/easy-theme-and-plugin-upgrades/ to update the theme but before updating take backup of your site from Tools -> Backup so that if anything goes wrong then you can restore it.

Perfect – thanks a lot! Great support and a great theme, love it!
