Hi there –

I’ve been searching through the forum but cannot figure out how I can update the WPBakery plugin?

    I am getting this error:

An error occurred while updating WPBakery Page Builder: To receive automatic updates license activation is required. Please visit Settings to activate your WPBakery Page Builder. Got WPBakery Page Builder in theme?

And I found your answer on another post that says:

”We update the plugin with every new theme version. In this case you can just delete old plugin version and reinstall latest plugin version bundled with theme from Appearance -> Install Plugins”

…. Does that mean I deactivate and completely delete the plugin? And then where do I find and install the latest version?

    Thank you!

    Solution for this topic

    Hi @eliz1459,

I hope you are well today and thank you for your question.

Please update the theme on your site to the below latest version as described here https://support.shufflehound.com/updating-theme/

Please login to access this file

Then just delete the WPBakery plugin on your site and reinstall it from Appearance -> Install Plugins

    Best regards,
    Shufflehound team

Are you able to provide me with the latest child theme for Jevelin? That is what I’d like to use, but I think what you sent me is only the main theme.

Actually – I think I still have the child theme for version 4.4.2, and reinstalled the zip file. However, I get the attached error message – “the link you followed has expired.”

There is no version of child theme and you can use one child theme for all the theme versions.

If you are not already using the child theme then I have attached it to this reply.

Hi there – I’ve followed those steps and installed latest version of Jevelin (4.4.2).

I’ve then deactivated/deleted the WPBakery plugin, and then reinstalled by “Appearance > Plugins” … however, it is only installing version 6.0.4. It says there’s a 6.0.5 version available — am I able to access that?

You have to update it from Appearance -> Install Plugins as shown in the attached screenshot.
