When you click on the post title then it goes into post therefore for video format on clicking on the image video gets displayed.
But if you want to go into post for video format on clicking on the image then
to achieve this, you can use the attached child theme of Gillion theme that contains custom code.
Please note to display image, you have to set featured image to the video posts.

You don’t need to buy it. We update the plugin with our every new theme update.
Just update the theme to the below latest version of it and then delete and reinstall WP bakery plugin.

Sorry to hear of the problem you are having.
I have tested it on my test site and it’s working fine for me using latest version of Gillion theme.
Please make sure you are using latest version of PHP on your server as described in the following page.

Could you please delete the broken carousel and recreate it?

You can achieve it by adding the following CSS code in the Custom CSS code option of your theme on the below path.
Admin Area -> Appearance -> Theme Settings -> Custom Code -> CSS Code

If yes then please tell me which icons are those?

To confirm whether it is theme issue could you please test it temporary activating any default WordPress theme like Twenty Seventeen?
Also please test it disabling the cache that you are using on your site.
