    Hello.

I am working on a new enterprise news site and loved your there. However, there are two serious UI issues where I need help.
There is NO option for offset on pages. I am creating a home page where I want 3 news items on top in ‘Cover’ style and then a Cover + Basic layout for other stories. Both are showing the same stories as there is NO option to offset a number of posts so that there is to duplication of posts. Please ENABLE this option.

    Hi @arnieswap,

I hope you are well today and thank you for your question.

Could you please tell me how you are displaying 3 news items on top in ‘Cover’ style and  a Cover + Basic layout or share me the page URL from your site where it is displaying so that i can help you?

    Best regards,
    Shufflehound team

    Hello.

I added a Blog Slider and then Blog Post Basic. Please check the screen shot here.

I also own Newpaper/NewsMag theme and they have an option of  setting offset for each option in the WPBackery builder.

    Thanks.

For blog slider there is “Exclude Latest Posts” option that you can use as displayed in the attached screenshot.

I have created feature request to developer offset option in the Blog Posts Basic element in the future version of theme.

    Hello.

Thanks. I appreciate it, but the ‘exclude’ latest posts is not going to help in my case as the top block will be featuring latests posts. The workflow I am looking at or I have been using with Newsmag (I am migrating the news site to your theme) is that the top will have ‘Latest Stories’ or ‘Top’ stories using Cover layouts which look damn cool and then rest of the stories will be below it. We don’t want those 3 or 5 stories that already appear on top to also show at the bottom.
As you can see we are using another ‘Cover’ option that has 5 stories on top. Now the same stories are showing at the bottom too.

Any time frame by when the changes will be pushed?

    Thanks again for your support.

Yes i understood your situation that’s why i have created feature request for it so that it will be implemented in the future version of theme but sorry currently we don’t have any ETA.

In the meanwhile you can achieve it developing custom code and if you are not a developer then you can consider hiring a developer to develop it for you. You can hire a developer from any freelance site. Shufflehound recommends the developer https://www.upwork.com/freelancers/~011652ffec8865c6d5
