    Category pages for this theme are dynamically generated. I need to modify the output to include the_archive_description() before the individual posts are displayed. What theme file do I edit to achieve this? Normally, you would edit categories.php but since you are dynamically generating the page, I need to know where.

    I hope you are well today and thank you for your question.

     

    Yes, you are right. You have to just copy the theme index.php file into child theme and change its name to category.php then you can make changes in it.
