Hi!
When I tested my website (homepage) via GTmetrix it showed bad results for “serve scaled images”. That’s because featured image is the same as thumbnail image when showing blog posts on homepage. The problem is that I set featured image bigger (as it should be) than it is shown as a thumbnail. Is it possible for a thumbnail images to be smaller (in pixels, not just visibly) than featured images?

Please try regenerating the thumbnails on your site using the below plugin.

Shufflehound teamHi! I think you didn’t understand me. Visualy everything looks okay but the problem is that GT metrics shows that thumbnail images on my front page are too big (because it has to be loaded in full size instead of the size shown as thumbnails).
Here’s what GT metrix shows me for each thumbnail on my front page:
… is resized in HTML or CSS from 900×675 to 380×285. Serving a scaled image could save 286.4KiB (82% reduction).

You can change that featured image size by developing custom code as shared below.
