Hello. I want to change the header image in the category page individually, but it only allows me to change one image for them all. In the options I can’t select the option that lets me do that. I’m sending a print that shows tat I can’t choose single customization. Please let me know I can activate that option and add different header images to different category pages.
    Thank You,
    Victor

    Hi Victor,

I hope you are well today and thank you for your question.

There isn’t any option to do that so you have to develop custom code to achieve it.

    Best regards,

Hello. Please look carefully to the print screen I’ve attached in the last message.

There is an option to do it. It’s in the print screen, on on the left – “apply style just to the current page” – but I can’t select it, as you see in the image. Please let me know what to do in order to make that option available.
    It’s there, I just can’t use it.

Could you please tell me from where you are getting that dialog box?

Could you please share me some more screenshots of the options so that I can better understand it?

As you can see in “print 1” I have my homepage set up like this. I manage to get it the way I wanted. As you can see in “print 2” and “print 3”, In the main menu I have 2 pages (“Cronicas” and “Especiais”) and booth have 3 categories each.

“Crónicas” have: “Crónicas Inéditas”, “Crónicas Recicladas” and “Crónicas da Redação”

“Especiais” have: “O Puto que Cruzou a Europa no Dorso de uma Scooter”, “As Fronteiras da Guerra” and “Crónicas marroquinas”.

I want to have different header images to all those 6 categories.

I managed to change the header of one, as you can see in Print 4.

I wish I could make the header seem like the one from the homepage and cover all the menus, but I that isn’t possible, that’s ok, that’s not my major concern.

The problem is it doesn’t allow me to change the header in those categories individually. If I change it, it changes in all of them, has you can see in Print 5. That’s very important for me to be able to do that, because the content in all those 6 categories is very different so the visual separation is very important.

As you can see in the print from the previous message, there is a option to do that (I used the Yellowpencil plugin that comes with the full prepared demo of the theme I’ve imported when I bought it), but I can’t activate it. I can’t select it, it’s blocked. I need help unblocking it, because it’s very important for my website to change those headers.

    Thank you!

PS: I can only attach 4 files to this message, but the print 5 shows the category “O Puto que Cruzou a Europa no Dorso de uma Scooter”, from the page “Especiais” with the same header image that print 4 has.

    Solution for this topic

That option is only enabled when you select any particular post type as shown in the attached screenshot.

You can apply CSS to particular category pages as described in the below pages.

    Hello again.
I tried the solution that was on the first link you sent. I wento to /wp-content/themes/jevelin/ but I can’t find the category.php file there.
It doesn’t seem to exist on Jevelin theme. Does it has another name or designation on jevelin theme?

    Solution for this topic

The theme doesn’t contain that file but if you want to create it then you can do so by copying the theme index.php file and renaming it to category.php
