Hi Shufflehound,
why is my contact form (from content elements) not working? I am testing the form and it gives me an approved message (“message sent”) but the actual form never gets emailed to the email I setup on the form?

I can also see the message is getting sent on your shared page using contact form.
Please check whether the email goes in SPAM folder.
Are you using custom email or the email provided by email service providers like gmail ?
Is the test email working fine in the contact form?

I checked my Spam folder and I’m using rackspace to host our emails. I still don’t see any emails coming through though. Can you help me figure out what’s going on?

no the test is not working fine. Ok i’ll try, but what could be causing this?
We are troubleshooting to find out what is causing this as there infinite numbers of possibilities. If you just answer my questions then we will get to the bottom of this soon.
As I said the test email is not working fine in the contact form.
I just tried doing it with my hotmail and gmail account, none of them worked. What now?

Are you getting emails from your site like user registration or comments posted?
Please use following plugin to test whether your site sends email successfully.

Then you can just post test comment on your site to test it.

If you are not getting any email from your site then it is your WordPress site issue and not theme issue so please troubleshoot it as described on the following pages.
