I have a couple of questions regarding the “contact me” button in the menu.
1: how can I customize the text “contact me” in “Contact”?
2: If I click on the button I see a page with Hire me. How and where can I customize this page? I would like to customize this site with a contact form. How can I add this to this page?

I have found the options in WPBakery header editor. There I could find a box to fill in the reference to the contact page.
But in addition I would like to remove the search button. How can I hide or delete the search icon from the header?

Yes, that is the correct place.
If we understood it correctly you only need to hide the search icon now. You can do it at the bottom of the Navigation tab (when the Header tab is selected at the top). There should be a Hide Search Bar checkbox.
