I get this error everytime I have tried to install a Demo for my site.

I am trying to work with the Demo as it is almost exactly what I want to work on. But each time I follow the process of installing one, it turns up this message: Error: Internal Server Error (500)

Please how do I resolve it?

I need this done like yesterday!

    Hi @oriakhideba,

Sorry to hear of the problem you are having.

You can resolve the 500 internal server error as described in the following page.

    http://freewptp.com/fix-wordpress-issue-internal-server-error/

Also please make sure you are using latest version of PHP on your server by referring the information provided in the following page.

Hello, this is confusing and difficult as the link you directed me to says this is an error without any specific reason for it, thus no clear solution.

I am requested to try a bunch of things to see if it will be fixed.

Also, the WP Bakery plugin that came with my purchase is not Activated. I am directed to Activate it, and this leads me to their site where I am supposed to log in to do so. I don’t have any detail for it.

Yes there isn’t any specific solution for the issue as it is not theme specific issue but your site or server specific so you have to try using those solutions.

Also have you made sure that you are using latest version of PHP.

You don’t have to activate the plugin bundled with theme to use its functionality.

Please see the replies posted in the following topic.

    Hello,

Now I am unable to access both the front-end and back end of my website.

When I try to login, I am unable to. Tells me this page isn’t working.

These issues started since I installed the theme I bought, and then installed a Demo. I wanted to change the Demo to another theme to no avail.

Now I am unable to login in at all.

    Kindly help in resolving it.

At the moment, my site is down and I am not in business.

I deleted the theme from my cpanel files, yet I still cannot access the WordPress Dashboard. I don’t want to uninstall this WP.

    Kindly help.

I have finally resolved the login issue. I needed to upgrade my php details via the cPanel.

Please I still have issues sorting out the theme.

Please I still have issues sorting out the theme.

Could you please tell me specifically which issue you are referring here?

I’m unable to design the theme As I wound want it to appear.

The docs are not helpful in teaching me how to manage and design the theme to suit my use. It was why I imported a Demo initially. But this also has been very difficult to handle.

I am still very stuck and confused as to how to fix it.

You can refer the theme documentation after activating the theme as shown in the attached screenshot.

Have you imported the the demo using our new installation method (under Appearance > Import Demo Data)?

Please make sure you have activated all theme required plugins such as Unyson plugin.

I activated all required plugins, but I’d not find where I could edit the Demo theme I had imported.

Instead, it was the foreign contents, pages, categories and all that filled my website. I could not din where to edit and adjust the theme to suit my use.

It was not clear in the resources provided either.

    Hello,

I decided to try this theme out on my test site, http://www.modernfootball.info to better understand it, before fixing it on the site I want to use it at.

I found I needed to work with the Customize button, and the dashboard provided with the theme.

Other tools are, at the moment, not working for me (still studying them).

However, after some while, and after finding my way a bit with the normal instal, I decided to start with a Demo (I realise demo will give me the styling I really would need for the site I am working on). However, below is the error I am currently having with trying to install the Personal Template Demo:

‘An error occurred while fetching file from: https://api.shufflehound.com/gillion/ocdi_files/personal/personal_content.xml!
Reason: http_request_failed – cURL error 28: Operation timed out after 20001 milliseconds with 0 bytes received.’

I don’t know how to fix this. I have upgraded the PHP as it seemed the issue with my last try.

    Please help.

    Hello,

I have just tried (twice) to install a Demo page but I get the same error as stated above.

‘An error occurred while fetching file from: https://api.shufflehound.com/gillion/ocdi_files/personal/personal_content.xml!
Reason: http_request_failed – cURL error 28: Operation timed out after 20001 milliseconds with 0 bytes received.’

This is your website server specific error that you can resolve as described in the following pages or contacting your webhost.
