Edit the column width of the footer widgets? I tried using YellowPencil but it altered the responsiveness.
You can make changes in the YellowPencil responsive mode as described in this page https://waspthemes.com/yellow-pencil/documentation/#responsive-tool
Or you can develop custom CSS code to achieve it.
Link a button to another section within the page?
Yes you can achieve this using anchor link as button link.
